Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern use of the Rexroad Technologies website and software products, including Chapter Forge Author Studio. Rexroad Technologies is a DBA of DREX Outdoors LLC.

1. Pre-release status

Chapter Forge is currently in development. Features, pricing, availability, compatibility, and product requirements may change before or after public release. Pre-release software may contain bugs or incomplete features.

2. License to use the software

Subject to these Terms and any applicable subscription requirements, Rexroad Technologies grants users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our software for lawful personal or business authoring purposes.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the stories, prose, data, designs, and other original content you create or enter into Chapter Forge. Using the software does not transfer ownership of your original writing to Rexroad Technologies.

4. Acceptable use

You may not use our services to violate law, interfere with the operation or security of the software, attempt unauthorized access, distribute malware, circumvent paid-access controls, resell access without permission, or infringe the rights of others.

5. Third-party services and platforms

Our products may interact with or be used alongside third-party services, browsers, publishing platforms, payment providers, and extension stores. Those services are governed by their own terms and may change independently of us. Chapter Forge is not affiliated with or endorsed by Royal Road.

6. Subscriptions

If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize the applicable payment provider to charge the disclosed subscription price and applicable taxes at the stated interval until you cancel. Trial, renewal, and cancellation details will be shown at purchase. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for additional information.

7. Intellectual property

Rexroad Technologies retains all rights in our software, branding, original interface designs, documentation, and other materials we provide, except for user-created content and third-party materials.

8. Availability and changes

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary for development, security, compatibility, legal compliance, or product improvement. We will make reasonable efforts to avoid unnecessary disruption to paid users.

9. Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, pre-release and production software is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rexroad Technologies and DREX Outdoors LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the services. Any limitation is subject to rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable consumer law requires otherwise.
